A dark B-position lamp in an R34 cluster is usually this black-socket 3-watt bulb, not the smaller A-position 1.4-watt warning lamp. Swap the wrong one and the socket will not seat or the lamp will run too hot. These burn when the cluster has been out for a speedo rebuild or when a telltale has been on for years.
