Ask a Question-
Can this be programmed to my current unit in my BCNR33?
Hi, yes this can.
This matches the method for most 1990s–early 2000s Nissan keyless remotes:
Close all doors and sit inside the vehicle.
Lock all doors using the driver's side power door lock switch (or manually).
Insert and remove the key from the ignition (do not turn it) 6–10 times quickly (within ~10 seconds).
Hazard lights should flash (usually twice) to confirm the vehicle entered programming mode. If not, try again with better timing.
Turn the key to ACC (Accessory/ON position) without starting the engine.
Press and hold the Lock button (or any button, depending on exact variant) on the new remote for a few seconds.
Hazards should flash again to confirm the code was accepted.
Turn the key off, remove it, and test the remote (lock/unlock doors).
Keep in mind, programming often erases all previous remotes, so have all your working fobs ready to re-program them afterward.
Some R33-specific variants use slight differences (e.g., press Unlock while holding Lock, or specific sequences with door locks).
If it doesn't work, double-check that the remote battery is good (usually CR2025 or similar) and you're using a compatible fob for your exact model/year.
