Oil dripping at the bellhousing on a Z32 is almost always the rear crank seal, not the pan. That lip runs on the crank flange behind the flywheel or flexplate. Once it hardens, oil walks onto the clutch or converter and the leak never stops until the transmission comes off.
The Genuine Nissan / NDK crankshaft rear oil seal is the factory rear-main seal for the VG30DE and VG30DETT. On USDM 300ZX it is listed for 1991–1993 and 1995–1996 naturally aspirated and twin-turbo cars. JDM Fairlady Z Z32 uses the same seal, including late VG30DETT engines. Confirm the year on a 1994 USDM car before ordering.
