New Genuine Nissan Rear Window Molding Fastener. Correct early style original unit used to secure the rear window molding on R32 2-door models such as GTR and GTS-4. Used on R32’s made from 8.1989 to 10.1990. This unit is found under the window moldings and is often confused for being part of the window moldings itself. It is a critical separate part that should be replaced and not included in the rear window molding set. Typically cracked and adhered to the body, these are most likely a unit that can not be used again in original form once pulled off the car. Replacement is highly recommended when removing the original window moldings.
This early style lacks the use of an additional locking clip on each end but is correct for the use of a OE restoration (see pictures). The purpose of the redesign was for added fitment to the car. Terra Firma also carries the correct later style model for GTR’s made after this redesign. We highly recommend the use of the late style for all years due to the upgraded clip feature. Very hard unit to get in the US and a must replace parts when doing rear window molding replacements.
Questions & Answers
Ask a Question-
Do you have the front windshield fastener for the 89 gtr?
Hi, the front windshield fasteners are very rare and expensive. What most people do is take two rears and cutting where they overlap to make a front. The front is basically the same as the rear, only longer. We do have the rear in stock. Thanks for your question!
